Dewalt is coming out with a new line of metal workshop storage products and accessories.
The new Dewalt metal workshop storage solutions line is centered around a metal wall-mounting rail to which everything else can be attached.
Everything from metal cabinets and shelves, to accessory hooks and part bins, can be attached to the rail.
The accessories can be added, removed, or repositioned as needed.
The 48-inch mounting rails has holes along its entire length. This should allow for custom sizes and more convenient installation.
There is also a 20-inch rail.
There’s a rail-mounted power tool wall cabinet with top shelf and metal slots for a 5-position power tool dock for drills and drivers.
The front of the cabinet can be lifted and pushed in, allowing it to remain open without doors sticking outwards.
Dewalt says that the cabinet has a 500 lb load capacity when mounted directly to the wall (presumably to wood studs), and 200 lbs when mounted to a metal rail.
The 4-port battery dock accessory is compatible with Dewalt 12V Max, 20V Max, and FlexVolt batteries.
According to Acme Tools’ teaser video, new Dewalt workbenches will also feature the same rail system, with rails attached to the legs on both sides.
There will be new steel tool chests and roller cabinets in 3 sizes – 37″, 41″, and 52″, with each featuring full-extension ball bearing drawers.
The new chests also come with cordless power tool battery holder. There’s room to add additional hooks or accessories as needed.
There are also rails mounted to the side of the base roller cabinets. Mounting holes on the opposite side suggest that you can move the rails – or add up to two more.
The line also includes hooks for hand tools, supplies, and equipment such as air hoses and ladders.
Larger hooks can be used for cordless outdoor power tools, as well as handheld tools such as shovels and rakes.
A tool holster attachment provides a storage space for cordless drills, impact drivers, impact wrenches, and other such tools.
The new Dewalt workshop storage system looks to be broad and well-thought-out.
Pricing has not yet been announced.
