Home Depot has deal pricing on the brand new Milwaukee M12 brushless drill and impact driver combo kit.
Yes, these are the new Milwaukee M12 Subcompact brushless tools that just came out (see Milwaukee Launched M12 Subcompact Cordless Power Tools).
The combo kit is priced at $199, or $159 bundled with a Shockwave impact-rated screwdriver bit set.
Here’s what you get:

The 3494-22 combo kit comes with a compact M12 drill and M12 impact driver – both with brushless motors, 2x 2Ah compact Li-ion batteries, a charger, and a tool bag.

The 45pc screwdriver bit set, 48-32-4023, sells for $27 by itself at Home Depot. It includes a variety of bits including Phillips, square, Torx, and hex.
So, you get the $199 combo kit plus a $27 bit set for $159. It doesn’t make sense, but I’m not complaining.

Discussion
I still expect to see promo pricing on the 2-tool combo kit by itself, but this is the best deal around at the moment.
Candidly speaking, I think that $149 is a fair guess about what the 2-tool combo kit might be promo-priced at, either for Father’s Day or the upcoming winter holidays.
The M18 combo kit has been $189 or $199, and the M12 Fuel combo kit is currently $229 with a free bonus tool. It’s been as low as $179 in the past. There’s also a 2-tool brushed motor combo kit for $99, and a 5-tool combo for $199.
Right now the 2-tool combo kit plus 45pc bit set is $159, and the combo by itself is $199. Personally, I’d skip it at that price and get the M12 Fuel combo and choose the spot blower or inflator as the free bonus tool.
IF the eventual promo price for just the 2-tool combo kit will be $149, I think this bundle deal at $159 is a better buy.
I probably wouldn’t take a second glance at the 45pc bit set at its regular price of $27. But for $10 more than what I expect (predict?) the combo kit will be, I’d take it – I think it’s worth more than that just for the bit holders and 2″ bits it comes with.
