Dewalt Ball Bearing Tool Storage Family Expansion

About a year ago, Dewalt came out with a new heavy duty ball bearing tool storage combo, and it’s pretty darned good. It’s sturdy, it’s well-built, and I’m pretty pleased with the configuration. Like other modern ball bearing tool storage combos (such as Milwaukee’s 30-inch combo), it’s designed for a mix of hand and power tool storage.

I have a test sample unit that’s loaded with some past SBD tools, and am in the process of integrating some more of my own tools in there. Aside from being a little hard to find at retailers, I think it’s a great tool storage option.

I’d say it’s more aimed at industrial, professional, and heavy duty home users than your average consumer, and the build quality not to mention the price reflects this. But it doesn’t cost that much. You can buy the combo for less than $1000 these days.

Back to the point. Dewalt is coming out with MORE tool storage options! Details are limited, and pricing and availability information isn’t available yet. But I still thought you’d like a sneak peek.

Shown above, there’s a tool cart and a narrower tool chest and rolling cabinet combo, for those that don’t need or have the space for a 40-inch unit.

Dewalt Ball Bearing Tool Cart

The new Dewalt tool cart has 2 lockable drawers, a high side-walled bottom shelf, and a sliding top that spreads to give you access to frequently used tools and supplies.

Dewalt Mobile Tool Storage Workbench

And then there’s this behemoth of a rolling tool storage workbench. I don’t recall the size, and can’t find my notes, but it’s BIG.

It’s got a different configuration than Milwaukee’s 60″ mobile tool cabinet, and just going by the caster spacings, the Dewalt might be longer. It’s got 15 drawers to Milwaukee’s 11 drawers + 1 cabinet.

Craftsman’s got a huge mobile tool storage workbench out too, and Husky has some medium and large sized ones too. Here’s a quick look at their 52-inch version, and their height-adjustable model recently came out.

So… yea. That’s all we’ve got so far.

A new tool cart, narrow tool storage combo – or at least narrower than their 40-inch combo – and a great-looking mobile tool storage workbench.
